Every story is a new adventure.
Upload an audio file to loop quietly in the background during play. You can replace it anytime. Large files may not save permanently in the browser — a short (1–3 minute) MP3 works best.
Adjust these like house rules of a real board game. Changes apply to the next game you start.
Upload an image to use as the backdrop behind the game board. You can replace it anytime — the board and pawns stay exactly the same.
Import a UTF-8 CSV file with columns: ID, Story, Type, Category, Question, A, B, C, D, Answer, Points, Difficulty.
Bookopoly is a team board game built around four short English stories — a mix of reading comprehension, memory, quick thinking and a bit of luck.
Before playing, students read and study the four stories (written and edited by the teacher in the Story Library). The teacher decides who studies which story — students then return to their original teams. In Story Preparation, each story can still be opened as a reminder. Once the game itself starts, the stories can no longer be reopened — teams must rely on memory and understanding.
The game is time-limited — the teacher sets the length in Game Settings before play begins. When the timer runs out (or the teacher ends the game early), whichever team has the most points wins.
The teacher can fine-tune point values, steal limits, move distances and the Shield mechanic anytime in Settings → Game Rules.
